cherry almond chia granola

 

cherry almond chia granola, soy free, lactose free, high fiber, vegan.

 

half cup quinoa, uncooked

one cup buckwheat groats

one cup dried tart cherries

one cup regular rolled oats

one cup sliced almonds

one teaspoon cinnamon

one teaspoon sea salt

one teaspoon vanilla extract

quarter cup maple syrup

quarter cup neutral oil (safflower, coconut or canola work well)

third cup chia seed

directions

 

1.        Preheat the oven up to 225 Fahrenheit.

2.        Place the buckwheat grouts, oats, chia seeds, quinoa, cinnamon, almonds and salt in a bowl and toss together.

3.        Pour the maple syrup, vanilla and the oil over the mixture of granola and stir to combine so that the maple syrup and the oil coats everything.

4.        Now spread the granola mixture on a baking sheet and bake this at225 Fahrenheit for 60 to 90 minutes until the granola is crunchy and toasted.

5.        Remove it from the oven and have it cool down for at least one0 minutes.

6.        Break apart the toasted granola and toss together with the dried cherries before serving.
